Slow News Day for the Wall St Journal

I must admit that when I picked up the paper on Saturday and saw my picture front and center, my first thought was Shit, have I been indicted for something?

Apparently, though, I'm just a nerd. Big news.

Wow, that reporter is pretty lost. Auren Hoffman laughs about VCs sneaking into a brunch? Hoffman is literally the biggest dork I know. And Jake Seid - the guy is 31 - wasn't the article about older VCs trying to connect with younger entrepreneurs?

  4. I agree it didn't make much sense. I talked to Rebecca because I thought she was profiling the entrepeneurs, not the VCs. When she asked to send a photographer to my office, I declined (she took my web photo), and I discouraged her from running the story.

  5. Hi Dave: I'm interested to know who they get to do these sketches in the WSJ? When you have one done on page 1 of the Journal, do your friends and family put in a frame for your den/office?

I enjoy your blog. I think you might be interested in a new posting I did on what Syd Finkelstein and I found were big predictors of VC-backed firms' sales growth. http://breakoutperformance.blogspot.com/2006/10/predictors-of-significant-vc-backed.html
