BMC announced today that it is acquiring Bladelogic for $28 per share, which values the company between $800 and $900 million. Bladelogic was founded in 2001 by Dev Ittycheria, an EIR in our Massachusetts office. Prior, Dev had co-founded early SaaS pioneer Applica, which he sold handsomely to Breakaway Solutions.
