My Privacy

Great video from Reputation.com... (i particularly like the Pear noteboooks at the end)

  1. That's a great video, and it made me go check out their site. Once I got there the site looked pretty enterprise-y (maybe the stock photos). I saw the advertised $4.15/month, thought that sounded reasonable, and clicked through.

I was super disappointed to see that the advertised price was for a _5 year_ contract. The internet will be a completely different shape in 5 years. I was also disappointed that the shortest possible signup period was 1 year, and that it cost twice as much.

No monthly? No free trial? Not even a free security assessment up front to show what they can fix? I can't imagine spending $100+ up front on the strength of a cool video.

    Cool video though.

  2. Thanks for the comment and feedback! Much appreciated. Meanwhile, I think that David has posted a code for a 50% discount for MyPrivacy, so you can get started for much less!

I think the video is great. But it needs to do a better job of showing the results in ad. For example, 'Michael Fertik' (just an example) was previously showing up on www.123people.com/s/michael+fertik
Now after signing up, You can not find the information about him unless he wants to (Linkedin, twitter etc). You guys better know how to craft message but that is just my feedback.

I think this would be a fascinating thing to try, as I am a well known author who has had a problem with a stalker (believe it or not).

Is there some sort of a trial option?

    Thank you --
