TED 2011: Sebastian Thrun on Google's Driverless Cars

Score: 9 balloons

Here's a tasty 4 minute TED snack on how and why Google promises to vastly improve the nature of automotive transportation.

See the Guide to TED Talks 2011.

  1. Sigh. I wish Google would stay out of physical objects. Confuses their mission and image.

  2. Google marketing (just have to see where they are presenting that, in 'TED' !!! the "scientific'' marketing conference) , those products have already done and developped by CARMAKERS, is only an opportunity to Google to promote their product Google maps and GPS from Google to this carmakers, when by 2013 they launch this integated self-driving systems.

Remark that self driving systems are already integrated in Japan by Toyota on Lexus hight class models

They repeat the same conference with the same ''engineer" (marketing engineer) almost every year ...
